Huddersfield Marathon Review

The Huddersfield marathon returned last Sunday 27th of April after a hiatus of two decades. The tough 26.2 mile course consisted of two laps from the YMCA at Laund Hill up to Sammonden via Outlane and then back to town via Golcar. ProSport Physiotherapy were there on the day to provide pre and post race assessment and treatment to all runners who took on the challenging, hilly course and we are pleased to announce that through this service we raised approx £100 in donations to the Laura Crane Trust.

Among the athletes completing the course was Keith Senior, who completed his 4th marathon in four weeks on the day. This fantastic achievement was in aid of the Laura Crane Trust, a local Huddersfield charity. Having sponsored Keith with physiotherapy and sports massage throughout his challenge we could feel via his tight muscles how tough the demands of running the London, Manchester, Northampton and Huddersfield marathons within 4 weeks have been on his body, and it is a great achievement which has raised awareness and vital funds for the charity. You can still sponsor Keith at the following here.

All in all it was a great event, and we hope to support it in the future as it goes from stregnth to strength!

Special thanks to Keith also for kindly donating his Marathon shirt which will go proudly on our clinic walls!
