Alex Morrell (Sports and Non Sports Injuries Physiotherapist)

Alex is a physiotherapist treating both sporting and non-sporting injuries at the ProSport Physiotherapy clinics in Halifax and Huddersfield.

Originally from Beverley, East Yorkshire, Alex completed a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Science and Injury Management in 2013. In 2016, Alex completed a master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

Alex has taken extensive post graduate training in various courses including The ProSport Physiotherapy Academy Mentorship.

In 2015, Alex became the Head of Injury Management for York St John University’s high performance YSJ Excel programme. As part of this role Alex, assesses, treats and rehabilitates injuries from sports including; Football, Netball and Rugby League. Alex utilises skills from his BSc (Hons) degree and strength & conditioning experience to facilitate a safe return to play and lifestyle stresses for all athletes and non-sporting patients.

Alex has also worked with Huddersfield Giants RLFC. Alongside physiotherapy, Alex holds a Level 3 Sports Massage Qualification and offers this as a separate service at both the Halifax and Huddersfield clinic.

Alex has a special interest in back pain and utilises a number of novel treatment methods to resolve this.

    Ryan is a Chartered Physiotherapist and has experience with Chesterfield FC, Leeds Rhinos, Huddersfield Giants and Halifax Rugby League Clubs. Ryan combines his expertise in sport to give both sports and non-sports patients the best possible outcomes at the Huddersfield and Halifax clinics.

    Paul CreminSenior Physiotherapist

    Paul treats both sporting and non-sporting injuries at the Huddersfield and Halifax Clinics. Paul uses his background in both physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation to enable clients return to their chosen activities using a combination of hands-on manual therapy and self- management approaches in addition to specific rehabilitation programmes.

  • Shane Mooney
    Shane MooneyLead Physiotherapist

    Shane has undertaken an intense internship with the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Football Club initially as a student before continuing as a post graduate during the 2013 League Leaders Winning season under the supervision of Head Physiotherapist, Dave O’Sullivan. It was here where Shane began to learn and appreciate the power and importance of soft tissue therapy within the treatment process.
