Dave O’Sullivan (Director)

Dave is originally from Cork in Ireland. He holds an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield and is the Head Physiotherapist at the Huddersfield Giants.

Dave has worked with some of the world’s top international rugby union and league players including British and Irish Lions test players and various other international athletes across a wide range of sports. Dave has up skilled in various highly advanced techniques from all over the world to mould together into his own unique assessment and treatment approach that is successful in helping people return from complex and difficult cases pain free.

In the past 8 years, Dave has developed a reputation for getting Runners pain free quickly and back running efficiently and effectively, building endurance and sustainability by finding the true cause of their injuries. Dave’s methodologies and systems have been published in Athletics Weekly.

Dave started his career working with Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union where he was present when the team won promotion to the Aviva Premiership during 2008/2009 season before moving to Leeds Rhinos Rugby League where he was fortunate to be involved for two Grand Final winning seasons, a League Leaders winning season and worked for the club during two World Club Challenges and Challenge Cup finals at Wembley stadium.

In 2011 Dave moved back to Ireland to work for his home Province, Munster Rugby Union where he enjoyed a successful stint with the Province including a top seeded group stage qualifiers in the Heineken Cup . In 2013 Dave returned to Huddersfield where he took up the post of Head Physiotherapist at Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Club enjoying an historic League Leaders winning season with the club, their first major silverware in 81 years.

Dave has also conducted consultancy work with a wide range of other professional actors and athletes including Athletics, Golfers, Footballers, Olympic Snowboarders, Opera Singers, Ice Hockey and Dancers.

Dave consults and treats both sporting and non sporting injuries at the Huddersfield Clinics and heads up ProSport Physiotherapy Elite where he works intensely with patients for short periods to rehabilitate from injury and improve performance.

    Shane has undertaken an intense internship with the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Football Club initially as a student before continuing as a post graduate during the 2013 League Leaders Winning season under the supervision of Head Physiotherapist, Dave O’Sullivan. It was here where Shane began to learn and appreciate the power and importance of soft tissue therapy within the treatment process.

  • Rachel Barrowclough
    Rachel BarrowcloughSports Massage Therapist

    Originally from Ossett, West Yorkshire, Rachel graduated in 2014 with a first class honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Bolton. Throughout this course Rachel was provided with a range of opportunities working with numerous sports teams, including providing sports massage to the Fijian Rugby team who competed in the 2013 Rugby World Cup.

      Paul CreminSenior Physiotherapist

      Paul treats both sporting and non-sporting injuries at the Huddersfield and Halifax Clinics. Paul uses his background in both physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation to enable clients return to their chosen activities using a combination of hands-on manual therapy and self- management approaches in addition to specific rehabilitation programmes.
